Day 01:  USA to Istanbul – Kusadasi Turkey

 Day 02:  Kusadasi

Arrival at Izmir Airport and meeting an English-speaking assistant. Transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi.

Kusadasi”  means “bird island” and took its name from Pigeon Island. After the First World War, Kusadasi was invaded by the Greeks (1919). In 1922 it became a part of the Turkish Republic.

Day 03: Kusadasi City tour

Included: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner (all inclusive)

After lunch, we will start our sightseeing by visiting the beautiful seaside town of Kusadasi, a beach resort town on Turkey’s western Aegean coast.  It is also a major cruise ship destination and its seafront promenade, marina, and harbor are lined with hotels and restaurants. Just offshore on Pigeon Island is a walled byzantine castle that once guarded the town, connected to the mainland via causeway.  Its bazaar is also interesting.

Day 04:  Kusadasi – Ephesus

Included: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner (all inclusive)

After breakfast, we visit the ancient Ephesus city ruins which are located  only 15km from Kusadasi. It is  an ancient Greek city built in the 10th century BC on the site of the former Arzawan capital by Attic and Ionian Greek  colonists. During the 2nd century BC, Ephesus was the 4th largest city in the Eastern Roman Empire, famous for its Artemesium, the Library of Celsus and its medical school. Little remains of the famous Temple of Artemis, one of the “Seven wonders of the World, which drew pilgrims from around the Mediterranean. Since the  5th century, the House of  the Virgin Mary, 7km from  Ephesus has become a major place of Christian pilgrimage.

Day 05:  Kusadasi – Bodrum

Included: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner (all inclusive)

After breakfast we drive to Bodrum and  check in our beautiful resort hotel.

Bodrum is a charming and elegant resort town often compared to Saint Tropez in France, the Costa del Sol in Spain and Sorrento in Italy. Our resort brings you the best of Turkish hospitality, including gourmet foods and drinks and spectacular shows in an idyllic setting.  Your guide will give you an afternoon tour of the extensive hotel grounds.

 Day 06: Bodrum half day tour

Included: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner (all inclusive)

Bodrum is a port city in Mugla Province, in the Southwestern Aegean Region of Turkey. It also held one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (now long gone). Bodrum Castle overlooks the harbor and the marina since the 15th century. We will visit the ruins of the old Greek Theater of Halikarnas. Herodotus, the father of History Studies, lived there and it was for a time under Persian control until Alexander the Great took the city in 334BC. Before returning to the hotel for lunch we will stop at a viewpoint for pictures.

Day 07: Bodrum

Included: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner (all inclusive)

Today we will have free time for leisure, our suggestion to you using the famous beaches of Bodrum.
Bodrum is a fascinating place as it has a pleasing contrast between the Ancient city – where there are discernible fragments everywhere in the town -and a playground for rich Turks and an array of foreign visitors. It is one of the centers of the Turkish Tourist industry and is the market town for the Bodrum Peninsula which consists of a number of towns and villages nestling on the edge of the Coast. More than any other Turkish seaside getaway.

 Day 08: Bodrum – Istanbul

Included: Breakfast

After breakfast drive to Bodrum airport for a short flight to IstanbulArrival at Istanbul Airport and transfer to your hotel.

Optional: Istanbul dinner cruise on the Bosphorus with music and dancing.

 Day 09: Istanbul

Included: Breakfast

Enjoy a half day morning tour of Istanbul, the only city that straddles two continents. Your tour includes a stop in an outlet store then a guided visit of Hagia  Sophia, built 1500 years ago as the largest building and church in the world.  It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture. After 1453 it was converted into an Ottoman mosque until 1931 and subsequently it became a museum. Afterwards we will have a picture stop at the courtyard of the Blue Mosque, a 17th century Ottoman Mosque famous for its six minarets and magnificent interior made of blue tiles.

Then we continue to the Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays) where you are given free time until 5pm.  Here you can shop for carpets, jewelry,

leather and more, also you should explore the exotic Spice Market with its unforgettable aromas.

 Day 10:  Istanbul (Asian Side City Tour) + Dolmabahçe

Included: Breakfast

First we will visit Dolmabahçe Palace built in the

18th and 19th centuries as one of the most glamorous palaces in the world. It was the administrative center of the late Ottoman Empire with the last of Ottoman Sultans residing there. After the foundation of the Turkish Republic in Ankara, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk transferred all government functions to the youthful capital but on his visits to Istanbul Ataturk occupied only a small room at Dolmabahçe Palace as his own.
The construction cost five million Ottoman gold lira, or 35 tons of gold. After the palace we will drive from the  European side to the Asian sde across the Bosphorus Strait, we arrive at the Asian section of Istanbul via the Bagaz Bridge, then we will have visit of Çamlica Hill, a place with two hills overlooking the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea. It is one of the most favored promenades in Istanbul, and also one of the highest and most charming places in the city. After that we have free time for lunch and your guides will give you suggestions.

Day 11:  Istanbul

Travel Document Requirements:

It is the full responsibility of the passenger to verify the correctness of all the travel documents including valid Passport, Visa, the exact and correct spelling of their name.

Passports are required to be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of travel and at the minimum one blank page. Check with the Consulate general of country of travel for minimum requirements.

Visa Requirements:

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective consulate(s) or visa agency to determine whether any visas or passports are required.

Passport with at least 6 months of validity and at least one blank visa page. Non – U.S. citizens must call their local Consulate office for the most current entry requirements.

Travel Insurance:

We strongly recommend that all clients take out comprehensive travel insurance when making a booking. We recommend getting insurance that covers loss of baggage, trip cancellation, and medical expenses. Insurance is available at an additional cost.

Cancellation without Insurance:

Cancellations are very costly and usually do not occur in time for resale of the cancelled tour. If Amiri Tour and Travel receives any cancellation prior to commencement of services without travel Insurance, the following cancellation fees will apply per person:

*        60-31 days prior to departure:            50% of cost.

*        30 days or less prior to departure:     100% of cost. No refund
