Day 03   Johannesburg city to explore

Breakfast at hotel, full day tour including Johannesburg drive by city tour, Apartheid Museum and Soweto.Today’s scheduled activities start with a trip to Soweto. This sprawling metropolis of more than 3.5 million people on the outskirts of Johannesburg is synonymous with South  Africa’s turbulent past and its hope for the future. Soweto is a multilingual & multicultural composite of South Africa today. Peek into the past – the hostels, Freedom Square, the  struggle for liberty. Tread the paths to greatness taken by Nelson Mandela and Walter  Sisulu. Stand on the only road in the world, Vilakazi Street, which was famous for its location of the two Nobel Peace Prize Winners houses and the Hector Pieterson Memorial Proceed.This afternoon, your scheduled activities resume with a visit to the Apartheid Museum. Apartheid was dismantled a decade ago but its full horror lives on in a stark white building in Johannes-burg. It’s called the Apartheid Museum, and it takes visitors on a fascinating, horrifying, humbling and ultimately inspiring journey from the dark days of ‘whites only’ privilege, through to Nelson Mandela’s historic release from prison  Get a small idea of what it was like to have your entire life determined by your skin color.  Documentary pieces of film, texts, sound clips and live accounts recapture life in the old  South Africa. Day 04  Pilanesberg

Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner  

Breakfast at hotel, check out and transfer to Pilanesberg National Park, en route stop at Lesedi Cultural Village for tour starting at 11:30 with lunch. After lunch continue to Pilanesberg National Park and check in at your Lodge. Day 06  Cape Town

Early morning game drive and transfer back To Johannesburg airport for your flight to Cape Town.Arrival at Cape Town, meet and assist and transfer to your hotel.

Day 07  Cape Point and Peninsula

Breakfast at hotel, full day Cape Point and Peninsula tour including Hout Bay, Cape Point with funicular ride and Penguins at Boulders Beach.  See for yourself how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the ‘Fairest Cape’. Your full day scheduled excursion begins with a drive past the pristine beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno – currently the hottest real estate in the world – to Hout Bay, a functioning harbor and heart of the local crayfish industry. Time permitting, a stop will be made in Hout Bay for a Seal Island cruise (on own account).Late afternoon return to your hotel.

Day 08  Table Mountain

Breakfast at hotel Full day tour including Table Mountain City tour and Robben Island.This morning visit Table Mountain and take a CABLE-CAR RIDE to the top (weather permitting) for stunning views of the city and surrounding area. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Perhaps simply explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, visit Kirstenbosch Gardens, or take a cruise to infamous Robben Island, where Nelson Madela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison, for a guided tour. Your Tour Director will have suggestions to help you make the most of this beautiful city. Late afternoon return to your hotel.

Day 09  Wine lands

Breakfast at hotel, full day Wine lands tour visiting Stellenbosch and Franschoek including 2 wine making experiences. Escape to the beauty and tranquility of the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch wine lands. Our first stop is the Afrikaans Language Monument, perched on Paarl Rock which offers sweeping views of the surrounding area.Continue onto a winery on a well known estate, to sample wines of merit, before visiting the Huguenot Monument in Franschhoek, to discover the origins of this world-renowned wine producing region.Wine tastings and walking tour in Franschoek, a lunch stop is made in one of the many fine restaurants in either Franschhoek or Stellenbosch (own account). Explore the historic town of Stellenbosch with its attractive Cape Dutch architecture dating back to the 17th & 18th centuries. Visit a second winery in the Stellenbosch region and purchase a selection of wines to enjoy during your holiday in South Africa. Many local restaurants allow you to bring your own wine of choice and charge a minimal corkage fee – what better reason to select a few bottles of your favorite wine. Late afternoon return to  your hotel.                


Day 10  Cape Town
